John O'Connor

(Mountpelier, Athenry, Co. Galway) - Oct. 19, 2017 (peacefully), in the care of the Galway Hospice, after a short illness, bravely borne with great dignity and courage; sadly missed by his sister Julia (Headford), brothers Michael (Cork) and Gerard (Athenry), brother-in-law Peter, sisters-in-law Anne and Teresa, nephews John and Kevin, extended family, neighbours, work colleagues and friends. Reposing at Gardner's Funeral Home, Athenry tomorrow (Sunday) from 4 o'c. Removal at 6 o'c. to the Church of the Assumption, Athenry. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Templemoyle Cemetery, Newcastle, Athenry. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Galway Hospice. "May his gentle soul rest in peace."
