BLESSING, Patrick J. (Colonel US Marine Corps, Retired; Associate Professor of U.S. History at the University of Tulsa, Retired, Warren Fellow and Professor Emeritus at Harvard University) Patrick, son of the late John and Ada Blessing, Dublin, (suddenly) in the presence of his beloved wife, Callie, at his home in North Carolina - June 30, 2021. He was a scholar, soldier, writer, and our dearest friend, he is predeceased by a sister, Bernadette (Harte) and her husband Barry. He is survived by his loving wife, Callie, adored children, daughter Olwen and son John as well as his brothers, Kevin, John and Peter, all in Dublin and by his sister Ada (Callanan), Galway. He is sadly missed by his relations and friends in Dublin, Leitrim (cousins) and the USA. Interment took place in the Quantico National Cemetery, USA.
