McCABE, Matthew (Mattie), (Goatstown and formerly of Kilnacross, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan) - November 24, 2021 (peacefully) in his 98th year, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital surrounded by his loving family, predeceased by his brothers, sisters and daughter-in-law Veronica; he will be deeply missed and remembered with much love and affection by his beloved wife Joan, sons John and Noel, his sister Johanna and his adored grandchildren Caoibhe and Barry, great grandchildren Ben, Bonnie and Alex, John’s partner Ciara, daughter-in-law Angie, grandson in Law Ali, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Reposing at his home tomorrow (Monday, November 29) between 3 o'c. to 5 o'c. for family and close friends in line with COVID restrictions. May he Rest in peace. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10.30 o'c. in the Church of the Holy Cross, Dundrum followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. Please refer to Death notice on RIP.ie for Church restrictions.
