McDONAGH, Matthew (Mattie), (Drumalee, Cavan Town, formerly Doonbeg, Co. Clare and Lettermore, Co. Galway) - Tuesday April 6, 2021 (peacefully), in the wonderful care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his sister Eileen. Mattie will be forever missed by his heartbroken wife Josephine, his loving sons Kevin and Fionan, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Bernie and daughter-in-law Noelle. Mattie will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of his cherished grandchildren, Amy, Katie, Ben, Rachel and Sean, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and all who knew and loved him. “Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige ar dheis Dé” In current circumstances, Mattie’s reposing, Funeral Mass and burial will be private to Family. Mattie’s Funeral cortege will depart his residence today (Thursday) at 12.45 o'c. to arrive at the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan for Funeral Mass at 1 o’c. Burial afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry. The McDonagh Family would like to thank you all for your co-operation and understanding at this difficult time.
