MCCANN (née O'Reilly), Rita (Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Cootehill, Co. Cavan), died peacefully on Sunday, April 14th 2024 in her own bed at home after a long fight with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Gretta. Deeply missed by her husband of forty eight years, Michael, her son Paul, daughter-in-law Orlaith and granddaughter Aoibhinn. Sadly missed by her sister Eilleen and brother-in-law Bill, her sister Mary (Min), her brother Paddy and sister-in-law Mary, by her nieces, nephews, cousins at home and abroad and by their families. Fondly remembered by a wide circle of friends, particularly those made during her years in Celbridge library. Reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Ardclough Road, Celbridge (W23 AK13) on Tuesday afternoon (April 16th) from 3pm to 6pm and from 7pm onwards at home for neighbours and friends. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church Celbridge on Wednesday morning (April 17th) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Donacomper Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
